Wind!
This year, first grade will study weather and states of matter. To introduce both topics, we spent some time in KIDLAB discussing wind. Wind is moving air. It can be made outside, by machines, and even by our bodies. Although wind is invisible, we know it is there because we can see, and sometimes even hear, how it interacts with different objects. We made kites, pinwheels, and wind chimes to explore the effects of wind. Take a look!
