Magnet Boards
After learning about magnets and how they interact with different objects, the third grade created magnet boards. You might have seen these fun magnet toys before- sometimes they have faces or pictures and by moving a magnet under the picture, tiny black dots more around and make the picture change. After much discussion, we made our own version of these fun toys.
Before we started to build, we needed to start thinking like engineers and pick the best materials for our project. After looking at many options, we chose foam core for our base and walls, iron filings for our inside material and plastic for our cover. After a lot of hard work measuring, gluing, shaking and taping, we were all ready to play with out creations. Check them out!
