Topographical Maps
As the fourth grade worked on rocks and minerals in science, they were also learning about the 50 states during social studies and technology. To combine all of the units, students made topographical maps in KIDLAB. Topographical maps are different than regular maps because they show landforms and elevations in a given area. Each student created a 3D topographical map of one of the 50 states using clay and paint. Check out our work!
