Let's go fly a kite!
There is nothing better than flying a kite on a windy day. We discovered that kites work because the wind pushes against the flat part of the kite's body while the string holds it steady from the other side. We saw that kites can come in many different shapes, sizes and colors but need to have a flat part for the wind to press on and it needs to be made out of a light material. During KIDLAB, students chose from 2 different patterns to create their own kites. Then we set up some fans in the lab and let the kites soar.
