Play Dough!
For our second KIDLAB class, K1 read a book called "What is Science". We learned that science is EVERYTHING- planes and trains and trees and animals and volcanoes and wind- and we will learn about ALL of it in KIDLAB. As our activity, we made play dough. Everyone helped to measure, pour, mix and then play. We even got to take our play dough home with us to play with over vacation. It was so fun and easy to do- you should try it at home!
Here is the recipe:
1. Mix 2 cups flour and 1 cup salt together in a big bowl.
2. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil
3. Add a few drops of food coloring to 1 cup of water.
4. Pour in the water and mix everything together with your hands until its not too gooey and not to dry.
5. Have fun with your home-made play dough!
