NHCS's First Annual Super Science Day!
Since NHCS has a whole day devoted to math, a whole week devoted to being "green" and a whole month devoted to literacy, I thought we needed a Super Science Day to round things out. This is an event I hope will grow over the years and morph into something that families and friends will be able to participate in.
This year, Super Science Day happened on a Friday afternoon. After lunch, grades K1 through 4 got into mixed grade level groups and rotated through different classrooms participating in three different science activities. Classroom teachers led the lessons and students worked together to create, problem solve and play. I wanted Super Science Day to be an event that students and teachers could get really excited about and I think that we accomplished our mission.
